 Four Generations, My Mum, Breda, (she passed on 19th Feb 2014), Left is my Niece, Dannielle, (Me) Carmel and my granddaughter Jasmine.

This is my 1st time publishing a blog. My Name is Carmel , Mum of 8 sons and a grandmother. I live in Cork, Ireland. I have always loved knitting and trying different crafts. I have in the last 2 years learnt to crochet and I LOVE it. In last 2 months I have gone mad and addicted to making Dolls and Toys.

All above offer free patterns or sell some patterns and downloads very cheaply. I always respect the designers of the patterns and I do purchase and will not share with others when I buy. This is not beingmean, I feel its not fair on the designers who take time to write patterns and all true and honest crafter know how hard and boring this is when you are all excited about something you thought up. I also credit the designers when I post the crafts I make. 

I love looking up Google Images for pictures of the toy I want to make.I use for my DOLLS  the Coraline  ~> http://www.amigurumitogo.com/2013/12/coraline-doll-free-crochet-pattern.html pattern for my dolls. The designer is Sharon Ojala and she is outstanding and gifted. www.amigurumitogo.com

For my Baby Hats and Booties I use Sarah's patterns in repeatcrafterme.com/p/crocheting.html . Her patterns are awesome and she does all size by size so easier to follow.

But my favorite of all is http://thecrochetcrowd.com Before I found their page on Facebook I was happy with the bits and pieces I was making. They were lovely but a whole new world of Crocheting was opened up to me. It was through their site and looking at pictures posted by members that I found the other sites. They are so brilliant with all the advice, videos, patterns and the way the give you feed back on your postings. 

In the next few weeks I will be posting all I have made. I would love comments back and if you see something you like I will post the link. As I have said above if the pattern is for sale, I wont share you will have to purchase yourself, Sorry

Also any advice on improving the ones I completed so they will be better next one would be so helpful. 

Sunday 20/4/14

I was babysitting last night and made 4 hats and made 1 today. Very happy with the way they came out. Not sure really how to Blog proper but I will learn, I will post photos of hats. I gave Jamie his Doll Jake and waiting on Jasmine to collect hers.

 This is a collection of crochet I made this month and I have more to add. I so love crocheting.And love the way children react when you make them their own toy/hat/jumper.
